Newly Exposed Stairway

The upper left photo shows a desk against a wall. This wall divided the living room from the stairs leading from the front door to the second floor.

After researching the load in the cellar, the wall was removed, exposing the enclosed stairway.  The stairs were reconstructed with new steps, a banister and newels.

The result was a more open space with a beautiful traditional design.
Project: A family wanted to redesign the living room. The only request was to replace the old sofa and to add a gas fireplace.

Newly purchased fireplace was fully detailed. The entire room was converted with new paint color for walls and ceiling. Also added were new drapes and furniture (except for the tables), as well as lamps and dimmer-controlled recessed lights to highlight the new area rug. Took the mail and converted the back hall closet to a" PO BOX" as a joke and all mail is now placed in custom-designed organized slots.
